Valerie Harper

Harper was born in Suffern, New York. They divorced in 1980. Harper has worked almost exclusively in television, and has also had roles in made-for-TV-movies and guest spots on a number of series, including Sex and the City. In 1978, she married the actor Andrew Stevens. (It was renamed Valerie's Family in 1987 and later The Hogan Family after Harper left the series and was replaced by Sandy Duncan). She was usually considered the best of the three original lead actresses, and she was the only one with prior acting qualifications. She also played family matriarch Valerie Hogan on the 1980s sitcom Valerie. She had earlier played a year-long role in the soap opera Dark Shadows in 1970 as Daphne Harridge. From 1976 to 1979, she played the role of Sabrina Duncan in Charlie's Angels.

Harper won four Emmy awards and a Golden Globe for her work as Rhoda Morgenstern on both series. Kate Jackson (born October 29, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama) is an American actress best known for her role in the 1970s television series Charlie's Angels. Harper is best known for her portrayal of the wise-cracking yet vulnerable Rhoda Morgenstern on two CBS television sitcoms of the 1970s: The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Rhoda, in which she played the title role.
