Tyne Daly is perhaps best known for her performances on the television series Cagney & Lacey and Judging Amy. She won her Tony for Gypsy. Daly was married to actor/director Georg Stanford Brown from 1966 to 1990. They have three daughters. She studied at Brandeis University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
