Sarah Chalke

In a February 2004 interview with Glamour, Chalke stated: “I don’t smoke, I try to eat right, and I love doing yoga and going for hikes with my dog.”. "When I'm 85 I fully intend to be the little old lady in the wheelchair in A Little Night Music!" she says. She has appeared in several feature films, starting with Ernest Goes to School (1994), but has yet to take a leading role. She vows she will never retire. She has featured in Scrubs since the show began in 2001. Peil also played Edith Davis, Nancy Reagan's mother, in the Showtime movie The Reagans. Chalke was a regular member of the Roseanne cast until the show ended in 1997. Dawson's Creek, which ran from 1998 to 2003, was her first series.

In 1993 she took over the role of Becky in Roseanne from Alicia Goranson. She was 64 by her first television appearance, guesting on Law and Order in 1994. At 16 she became a reporter on Canadian Children's show KidZone. She made her film debut in her 60s in 1992's Jersey Girl. Chalke's acting career began at the age of 8 when she began appearing in musical theatre productions. Her work has largely been confined to the stage.
