Nastassja Kinski

Nastassja Kinski (born Nastassja Nakszynski on January 24, 1959) is a German-born model and actress, and daughter of actor Klaus Kinski.

Her most notable screen roles include the title role of Tess (1979), (directed by Roman Polanski, with whom she had a relationship during the shooting of the movie), Cat People (1982), Paris, Texas (1984), as Dudley Moore's love interest in Unfaithfully Yours (1984) and as Mathilde in À ton image (2004). She has a daughter and a son with Ibrahim Moussa and a daughter with composer/producer Quincy Jones.

Her oddest role is widely considered to be Susie the Bear in The Hotel New Hampshire, where her character essentially lives her life in a bear suit.

She speaks German, English, French, Italian and Russian fluently.

One of her last notable roles was a character part in the lesbian romance film Desert Hearts (1985). Lindley continued to appear steadily on television and film.

Roper were so popular that they were spun off to their own show, The Ropers (1979), which was not a success. The character and her husband Mr. Roper on the hit sitcom Three's Company (1977) (Lindley wore a wig to maintain the character's exagerrated hairstyle). Her greatest fame arrived when she began playing the wisecracking, perpetually unfulfillfed Mrs.

Upon resuming her career, she began to make steady appearances on television, including a 6-year stint as manipulative "Aunt Liz" Matthews on NBC soap Another World. She took time off to get married and raise five children. Among her many Broadway plays were: "On Golden Pond", "Playhouse 90", "Long Day's Journey into Night", "Horse Heavens" and many others. Nothing panned out, and she went to New York in her mid-twenties to take her talent to the stage.

She got her early start in Hollywood by being a stand-in, which eventually progressed to stunt work. Born on September 24, 1918 in Los Angeles, California, Lindley was the product of show business parents. Audra Lindley (1918-1997) was an American actress.
