Mary Kay is a brand of cosmetics sold by Mary Kay Inc. The company is privately held. It is currently headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mary Kay Ash (d. Nov. 22, 2001) founded Mary Kay Inc. in [[1963].

Mary Kay claims to be the best-selling brand of skin care and color cosmetics in its home country of the United States. However, no sources or statistics are ever provided to support this claim. Despite FTC requirements, accurate information on retail sales, product returns, number of consultants at each level, or amount paid in commissions each year is not publicly available.

These cosmetic products are only available from a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. The company had worldwide wholesale sales in 2005 of $2.0 billion and has over 1,500,000 Independent Beauty Consultants and Sales Directors in more than 30 markets around the world.
