Margot Kidder

Margaret Ruth Kidder (born October 17, 1948), better known as Margot Kidder, is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the 1978 movie Superman and sequels.

She is also known for having bipolar disorder which led to a widely publicised breakdown in 1996. She is now an advocate of orthomolecular medicine as a treatment for bipolar disorder.

Margaret Ruth Kidder (born October 17, 1948), better known as Margot Kidder, is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the 1978 movie Superman and sequels. In 1931 she married popular band leader Paul Whiteman. She successfully made the transition to sound film in the late 1920s, and even dubbed voices for some other actresses, including Louise Brooks.

She made her debut in silent film in 1916. Her older sister Ivy Livingston also became a movie actress. Livingston was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Her name was sometimes credited as Marguerite Livingston or as Margaret Livingstone. Margaret Livingston (25 November 1900 - 13 December 1984) was a United States motion picture actress.
