Lucia Mendez

On April of 2004, Mendez relocated for six months to Puerto Rico, for filming of a Hollywood movie. They had five children. On Saturday, February 29 of 2004, she married for the second time, this time to a person unknown to the public. She was married to writer Roald Dahl from 1953 to 1983. Mendez is rumored to be planning a comeback into Latin American and Spanish United States television channels. In 1988 Neal published an autobiography, As I Am. Lucia debutted as a writer of a soap opera in Miami in 1998. In 1981 Glenda Jackson played her in a television movie, The Patricia Neal Story.

The public and gossip magazines have also speculated of a supposed rivalry between her and Veronica Castro. Robinson in The Graduate, but turned it down, feeling it had come too soon after her stroke. In 1963, Neal won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Hud. Later on, she and Pedro Torres divorced. She suffered a nervous breakdown in that year when her affair with Cooper came to an end, but she recovered, and returned in 1957 to star in A Face in the Crowd. In 1988, she married producer Pedro Torres, and in 1989, she had her son Pedrito, who is her only child so far. Neal starred in The Breaking Point, The Day the Earth Stood Still and Operation Pacific before 1952.
