The genie opened a magic window onto Ripa's Live with Regis and Kelly dressing room, showing Ripa ripping off her human face to show an ugly alien face, then going to a tied-up human, removing his heart and eating it. Her autobiography (written in collaboration with Aimee Lee Ball) is punningly entitled Cybill Disobedience (ISBN 0061030147). In the episode "Family Guy Viewer Mail #1", Peter Griffin found a genie in a beer bottle and his first wish was to see Kelly Ripa behind the scenes. In the 1990s she starred in Cybill, a television sitcom in which the title character was roughly modelled on herself: an actress struggling with hammy parts in B movies and bad soaps, a role for which she won her third Golden Globe award. She has also made fun of herself on Family Guy, voicing herself. In the 1980s she starred opposite Bruce Willis in the television series Moonlighting (1985-89), a lighthearted combination of mystery and comedy, winning two Golden Globe awards for her role as Maddie Hayes. Further in another episode she had a brief 5 second cameo as herself in a skit about Thailand. Her later films were less successful.

In another skit, Ripa spoofed the ubiquitous hair coloring ads in which she has appeared (in this skit, Ripa prefers Tressant Suprème because a main ingredient is crack cocaine, thus explaining her stereotypical "peppy" persona). Director Peter Bogdanovich spotted her on the cover of a magazine and gave her a role in The Last Picture Show (1971); after several films the next big step was Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver (1976). On Saturday Night Live skits about Live with Regis and Kelly, the role of Kelly Ripa is often taken by Amy Poehler. When Ripa hosted SNL, in one skit Poehler appeared as Ripa and Ripa as Angelina Jolie. Cybill Shepherd is an American actress, born 18 February 1950, Memphis, Tennessee. Shepherd's career as a model started in her teens. In a mutual decision, the couple left the show: Consuelos last aired as Mateo in 2002 and Ripa last aired as Hayley in 2003.
