Jocelyn EnriquezJocelyn Enriquez is a dance singer from San Francisco. She is of Filipino descent: her parents are from the province of Pangasinan. Her debut album, Lovely was released in 1994 on Classified Records. In 1996, she moved to Tommy Boy Records, where she released her debut single, "Do You Miss Me" in late 1996 and her sophomore album, Jocelyn in early 1997. Jocelyn peaked at #182 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and at #11 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. "Do You Miss Me" became a top 40 hit at dance and pop radio (#17 and #38 peaks, respectively), and peaked at #49 on the Hot 100. Its followup, "A Little Bit Of Ecstacy" was not quite as big a radio hit, failing to cross over to the pop stations and peaking at #25 at dance radio. However, it had stronger sales than "Do You Miss Me" (peaking at #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, as opposed to #8), which enabled it to reach #55 on the Hot 100. "A Little Bit Of Ecstacy" is remembered to this day, due to its recent inclusion on the DDR Max 2 PlayStation 2 game. Since 1997, Enriquez has had several club hits in America, but has not received radio support or gotten sales support from the mainstream public. However, she did score another pop hit in 1999, as part of a supergroup called Stars On 54, which consisted of Enriquez, Dutch techno performer Amber, and house diva Ultra Nate; the three women joined forces to cover the disco tune "If You Could Read My Mind" for the movie 54. Presently, Enriquez is seeing her newest single, "Why", climb the dance charts both in America and overseas. She is credited as a guest vocalist on Thunderpuss's track So Fabulous So Fierce, which also appears in the Dance Dance Revolution video game series. "Jersey Boys," a musical play based on the lives of The Four Seasons, is running at the La Jolla (California) Playhouse through January 2, 2005 and is headed for Broadway. Presently, Enriquez is seeing her newest single, "Why", climb the dance charts both in America and overseas. The Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. The partnership continues to this day. Since 1997, Enriquez has had several club hits in America, but has not received radio support or gotten sales support from the mainstream public. The band name is also the name of a legal partnership, The 4 Seasons Partnership, that Valli and Gaudio entered into at the start of their careers, agreeing to split all the proceeds from their musical efforts 50-50. "A Little Bit Of Ecstacy" is remembered to this day, due to its recent inclusion on the DDR Max 2 PlayStation 2 game. The band would, however, enjoy a brief revival in their popularity in the mid 1970s, with the hits "Who Loves You", "Swearin' to God", and "December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)". However, it had stronger sales than "Do You Miss Me" (peaking at #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, as opposed to #8), which enabled it to reach #55 on the Hot 100. By the end of the decade, however, the group's popularity was deteriorating, as public interest moved towards rock with a harder edge and more socially conscious lyrics. Its followup, "A Little Bit Of Ecstacy" was not quite as big a radio hit, failing to cross over to the pop stations and peaking at #25 at dance radio. In the mid 1960s, the British Invasion slowed down their career somewhat, but the Four Seasons released several more big hits in 1964, such as "Dawn", "Rag Doll", "Big Man in Town", "Ronnie" and "Save It for Me". "Do You Miss Me" became a top 40 hit at dance and pop radio (#17 and #38 peaks, respectively), and peaked at #49 on the Hot 100. The Four Seasons followed up "Sherry" with several well-remembered hits, including "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Walk Like a Man" and "Candy Girl". Jocelyn peaked at #182 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and at #11 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. After many more personnel changes, the band still tours today, but Valli is the only original member left. In 1996, she moved to Tommy Boy Records, where she released her debut single, "Do You Miss Me" in late 1996 and her sophomore album, Jocelyn in early 1997. Massi left the band in 1965 and was briefly replaced by arranger Charles Calello before Joe Long became a mainstay on bass for the next 10 years. Her debut album, Lovely was released in 1994 on Classified Records. Lead singer Frankie Valli began recording in 1953, but the group (Valli, Bob Gaudio on keyboards, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar, and Nick Massi on bass), which formed in 1960, didn't release their first hit until 1962, with "Sherry", produced by Bob Crewe. She is of Filipino descent: her parents are from the province of Pangasinan. The Four Seasons are an American pop and doo wop group, distinct from many similar groups of the 1950s and 60s in their traditional Italian-American sound.
