Ten years after she was featured as a Playmate, she posed again for Playboy and will appear in the January 2005 issue. As of November 2003, Moss, very keen to protect her and her family's privacy, had revealed almost nothing about her son. McCarthy wrote and starred in the feature film "Dirty Love" which will premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. They had a child together in the summer of 2003. The couple have a son, Evan, who was born May 18, 2002. Moss married fellow actor Steven Roy in 1999. The couple separated and McCarthy married John Mallory Asher on September , 1999. She also appeared as Natalie in the critically-acclaimed Memento in 2000 as well as in a supporting role with Juliette Binoche in the Academy Award nominated film, Chocolat starring Johnny Depp.

McCarthy had a relationship with Ray Manzella who was also her manager. She reprised the role of Trinity in two sequels as well as providing voice-overs for video game and animated spin-offs of the film. McCarthy is the author of Jen-X (1997), an autobiography, and Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth (2004). Her big breakthrough came when she was chosen to play the leather-clad hacker Trinity in the 1999 box office success The Matrix. She has also appeared in the movies Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995), The Stupids (1996), BASEketball (1998), and Scream 3 (2000). She moved to Los Angeles, California with the series in 1992. McCarthy had two short-lived television series; The Jenny McCarthy Show, a variety show, and Jenny, a sitcom. Her first television appearance was in the drama series Dark Justice.

She became a popular success on the series due to her good looks and sense of humor. In the late 1980s she moved to Spain to pursue a career in modelling. In 1995, McCarthy was hired by MTV to co-host a new series Singled Out. Carrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, is an actress who achieved worldwide fame following her appearances in The Matrix trilogy. She was chosen to be the centerfold in the October 1993 issue and was subsequently named Playmate of the Year in 1994. Ironically, her success as a model led to her quitting college and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in show business. In an attempt to make money for college, she submitted her picture to Playboy magazine.

In 1992, McCarthy was studying nursing at Southern Illinois University. A Catholic, Jenny graduated from Mother McAuley Liberal High School and was named MVP of her softball and field hockey teams.
