Her first daughter is now a chef who has been on Despierta America. Ironically she plays a character named Anya, the name of a Buffy character and wishes that the Elders (a Charmed version of Angel's the The Powers That Be) would make her human (similarly to Buffy's own Anya character). However, in 1998, her career took off internationally when she was given the opportunity to co-host Univision's show Despierta America alongside Raul Gonzalez, Fernando Arau, Ana Maria Canseco, Neyda Sandoval and occasional host Samy, the famous Cuban hair-dresser and television personality. After divorcing Trucco, she has remained single, and she says she wants to dedicate her free time to her kids only. She has also starred in the popular witch drama, and close counterpart of Buffy: Charmed, as, like her role in Angel, a Seer. But this relationship also ran into trouble and they divorced in the middle 1990s. Carpenter posed for the June 2004 issue of Playboy magazine. In 1989, she married producer Harold Trucco, and they had a son and a daughter. In 2002 she got married to Damian Hardy and on March 24, 2003 she gave birth to a boy, Donovan Charles Hardy.

In 1987, her romance with actor Raul Rosado was well publicized. She has made guest appearances in Baywatch, Miss Match and has had a role in Malibu Shores. Blondet spent the rest of the '80s participating in different tv shows, soap operas and mini-series, as well as in some theatre plays. She was discovered by a commercial agent while she was then a waitress, leading to several roles on TV adverts. She divorced Abreu in 1982, and by then, magazines such as Vea, Teve Guia, etc etc, started talking of a supposed rivalty between her and Millie Aviles, another young, Puerto Rican actress who resembled Blondet pshysically. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1981, she married the famous Bolivian actor Luis Abreu, with whom she had no children. She is best known for playing the character Cordelia Chase in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.
