Earl Hindman

On 29 December 2003, Hindman died of lung cancer. Although he cannot remember any details of the incident, he still has a dent in his forehead from a piece of wood that smashed through the car window. Hindman also played detective Bob Reid for many years on the daytime drama Ryan's Hope. Gorden suffered serious head injuries in a car accident in 1990 (see also Burns' Day storm). As the beloved grandfather-like neighbor he always seemed to solve the Taylor family's problems. The unusual spelling of the name Gorden is due to an Equity typing error. It was never really known what Wilson looked like, because there always was some clever way of hiding part of his face from view but sometimes one could almost see his whole face. He has worked on television, radio, film and on the stage.
