Billy Talent won the award for best new music group at the 2004 Juno Awards. To add to the credibility of the band, their first single "So Cold" has spent 37 weeks in the top 20 of the Billboard charts (as of February 3, 2005). The name was was inspired by the name of a guitarist in the the film and novel Hard Core Logo(written by Michael Turner) who was named Billy Tallent. Since Jeremy Hummell left the band in 2004, Breaking Benjamin has hired Chad Szeliga as the band's new drummer. None of the actual band members are named Billy Talent. They also created an original cut for the immensely popular video game Halo 2. The group soon changed rechristened themselves Billy Talent and released the EP Try Honesty in 2001. On June 24, 2004, the band released We Are Not Alone, which featured the first single "So Cold".
