She is scheduled to release her first live DVD, "Anastacia: Live At Last" in March 2006. As the passage also contains other figures in Botticelli's group, it is probably one of the main sources for the painting: "Spring-time and Venus come,/ And Venus' boy, the winged harbinger, steps on before,/ And hard on Zephyr's foot-prints Mother Flora,/ Sprinkling the ways before them, filleth all/ With colours and with odours excellent.". It has also sold strongly in other territories. In his philosophical didactic poem De Rerum Nature the classical writer Lucretius celebrated both goddesses in a single spring scene. The album entered the UK top ten album charts at #6, and is close to going platinum in the UK. Flora is standing next to Venus and scattering roses, the flowers of the goddess of love. A club megamix of some of the best remixes of her singles was also included, and the album was also released as a special limited edition, featuring deluxe packaging (it is presented in a hardback A5 book), and a second CD, containing remixes of her singles. This is why the clothes of the two women, who also do not appear to notice each other, are being blown in different directions.

The album features all of the singles from her albums, including "Everything Burns," which she recorded with Moody for the Fantastic Four film soundtrack, and two other new tracks, "In Your Eyes," and a duet with Eros Ramazzotti, "I Belong to You (Il Ritmo Della Passione)". Botticelli is depicting two separate moments in Ovid's narrative, the erotic pursuit of Chloris by Zephyr and her subsequent transformation into Flora. In late 2005, she released her first greatest hits collection, entitled "Pieces of a Dream: Best Of", named after a track of the same name, which she had written with former Evanescence star, Ben Moody. Regretting his violence, he transforms her into Flora, his gift gives her a beautiful garden in which eternal spring reigns.
. Aroused to a fiery passion by her beauty, Zephyr, the god of the wind, follows her and forcefully takes her as his wife. Anastacia released three further internationally successful singles; "Sick and Tired" (which gave her another UK top 5 single), "Welcome to My Truth", and the ballad, "Heavy on My Heart" proceeds from the sale of which went towards her 'Anastacia Fund' (Charitable organisation providing research funding for breast cancer). For the month of May, Flora tells how she was once the nymph Chloris, and breathes out flowers as she does so.

"Left Outside Alone" was released twice, but failed to pick up heavy airplay, resulting in the album being postponed and eventually cancelled. One source for this scene is Ovid's Fasti, a poetic calendar describing Roman festivals. Unlike her first two albums, which were released in her homeland of America, "Anastacia" was not, despite being scheduled for release on three occassions. Leaving aside the suppositions there remains the profoundly humanistic nature of the painting, a reflection of contemporary cultural influences and an expression of many contemporary texts. Strong airplay throughout Europe gave the song a Top 40 Charts world airplay ranking as one of the top five songs played on top 40 radio stations throughout the world in April 2004. For instance, the Primavera was also read as a political image: Love (Amor) would be Rome ("Roma" in Italian); the three Graces Pisa, Naples and Genoa; Mercury Milan; Flora Florence; May Mantua; Cloris and Boreas Venice and Bozen-Bolzano (or Arezzo and Forlì). "Left Outside Alone" proved to be equally successfully reaching number 1 in Australia, Italy, Austria and Switzerland; number 2 in The Netherlands and the UK, and reaching the top 5 on the composite European chart. Various interpretations of the scene exist.

Anastacia proved to be a smash hit reaching the top of the album charts in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Australia, Greece, Germany, and Italy and number 2 in Spain. Next to her walks Flora, the goddess of spring, who is scattering flowers. on the socially-conscious track "I Do.". From the right, Zephyr, the god of the winds, is forcefully pushing his way in, in pursuit of the nymph Chloris. On the album, Anastacia also collaborated with Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. The messenger of the gods is also identified by means of his winged shoes and the caduceus staff which he used to drive two snakes apart and make peace; Botticelli has depicted the snakes as winged dragons. The first single, released in March, was "Left Outside Alone", which saw a change in direction for Anastacia, embracing a rock element (she describes her sound as "sprock" - a combination of soul, pop and rock). Mercury, who is lightly clad in a red cloak covered with flames, is wearing a helmet and carrying a sword, clearly characterizing him as the guardian of the garden.

Anastacia entered record studios in September 2003 to begin recording her next album - the eponymously-titled "Anastacia" - working with Glen Ballard, Dallas Austin, and Dave Stewart for release in 2004. The garden of Venus, the goddess of love, is guarded on the left by Mercury, who stretches out his hand to touch the clouds. Anastacia subsequently established a fund through the "Breast Cancer Research Fund" to promote awareness of breast cancer amongst younger women. The Grace on the right side has the face of Caterina Sforza, also painted by Botticelli in a famous portrait in the Lindenau Museum as Catherine of Alexandria. She immediately successfully completed a course of treatment. Above her, Cupid is aiming one of his arrows of love at the Charites (Three Graces), who are elegantly dancing a rondel. In January 2003, Anastacia discovered she had breast cancer while preparing for breast reduction surgery due to orthopedic reasons. Venus is standing in the centre of the picture, set slightly back from the other figures.

Anastacia also contributed a song "Love Is A Crime" to the Chicago soundtrack. Above all it is the women's domed stomachs that demonstrate the contemporary ideal of beauty. These are, however, not direct copies but are translated into Botticelli's own unconventional formal language: slender figures whose bodies at times seem slightly too long. Anastacia also joined Shakira, Cher and Mary J. Some of the figures are based on ancient sculptures. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was partly responsible for Anastacia's success, since Lisa hosted MTV's "The Cut" where Anastacia got her first break. The Primavera is, however, special in that it is one of the first surviving paintings from the post-classical period which depicts classical gods almost naked and life-size.

When Freak Of Nature was finally released in the United States in May of 2002, she dedicated the album to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (of R&B supergroup TLC), who had died in a car wreck the month before. Such large format paintings were nothing new in high-ranking private residences. Its debut single, "One Day In Your Life", though not a smash hit, just barely made the top 40 and was also a hit on the club charts and at rhythmic radio. The painting decorated an anteroom attached to Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco's chambers. However, her sophomore effort did beat its predecessor in her home country. An inventory dating from 1499, which was not discovered until 1975, lists the property of Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco and his brother Giovanni and states that in the 15th century the Primavera had been displayed in Florence's city palace. Her second album, 2002's Freak of Nature achieved respectable sales although not matching the level of international success of Not That Kind. This is why it was long assumed that the Primavera, as the painting continues to be called, was painted for the fourteen year old Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco when the villa was bought.

While "I'm Outta Love" was a top ten song on the US dance charts, Not That Kind only reached the lower parts of the Billboard 200, since the single never managed to cross over to the American pop charts. In 1477, the estate was acquired by Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de' Medici, who was a second cousin of Lorenzo the Magnificent. It went triple platinum in Australia spurred by the success of her debut smash "I'm Outta Love" which was the most popular single of the year in that country for 2000. In 1550, Vasari wrote that a picture which according to him announced the arrival of spring (Primavera in Italian) was in the Medici villa in Castello. Her debut album Not That Kind was released in 2000 and was a huge success reaching the top ten in eight countries in Europe, Asia, and Oceania. It is housed in Uffizi Gallery of Florence. A then-unknown Anastacia finished in third place, but impressed Lopes and the show's three judges so much that she scored herself a record deal anyway. 1482.

"The Cut" was hosted by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC. The Primavera is a painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli, c. Anastacia signed a contract with Daylight Records, a custom label of Sony Music's Epic Records in March 1999. In 1999, she attracted the interest of record labels after making the finals of MTV talent show The Cut. During the early 1990s, she appeared regularly on Club MTV and in a couple of videos for rappers Salt-N-Pepa.

Anastacia soon became interested in dance despite being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Her family relocated to New York City when she was a teenager and she enrolled at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan.
