Tim Reid (born December 19, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA) is an actor that is best known for appearances in TV programs in US prime time. The most notable of these was as the hip DJ "Venus Flytrap" on WKRP in Cincinnati. Other starring roles include Sister, Sister, Simon & Simon, Frank's Place, Snoops, and Linc's. More recently, he has focused on projects that highlight social issues, such as For Real. Reid, along with his wife, Daphne Maxwell Reid, currently owns and runs New Millennium Studios in Petersburg, Virginia.

In 1988, Reid won an award from Viewers for Quality Television Awards as "Best Actor in a Quality Comedy Series" in Frank's Place. In 1990, the same role earned him an Image Award for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series".
