Bledsoe has also been featured recently on television interviews, where she spoke of her experiences as a child star together with her co-stars Bill Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Lisa Bonet, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Sabrina Le Beauf. In addition to her career as an actress she is also a writer, having co-written with her third husband Mark Levinson the book Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm. Cattrall was previously wed to Larry Davis and Andre Lusonin. Since then, she has had a short-lived daytime talk show and has been featured in the role of a single mother on the ABC show The Practice. This character and several others she has portrayed are known for being sexually-open women. Tempestt Bledsoe (born August 1, 1973) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Vanessa Huxtable in The Cosby Show. Cattrall is better known for her work as "Samantha Jones" in Sex and the City. Subsequently she starred in the first Police Academy film in 1984, and in the first Mannequin in 1987.

Cattrall starred in a handful of films during the 1970s, but her first taste of international fame came in 1981 when she participated in the first Porky's film. In 1981, at age 25, she briefly dated the recently-divorced Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. When she was 16, she moved to New York where she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Art. At the age of 3 months, Cattrall and her family moved across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada, eventually settling for a time in Nanaimo, BC.
