Sylvia Lopez, born in 1931 - died November 20, 1959, was a European model and actress.

Born Tatjana Bernt, in Austria, she was raised in Paris, France where she began a career in modelling. Eventually she modeled for couturier Jacques Fath, the first French fashion designer to export his creations to the United States. Appearing under the name "Sylvia Sinclair", Bernt earned enough exposure to attract the attention of film producers.

In November of 1956 she became the second wife of the French composer Francis López. As Sylvia Lopez, she made her first of two French-language films following which she appeared in several Italian swashbucklers with American stars such as Steve Reeves and Lex Barker that were commercially successful and for which she received favorable reviews.

Diagnosed with leukemia, Lopez died while working on the set of Voulez-vous danser avec moi?, a French film with Brigitte Bardot.

Sylvia Lopez is interred in the Cimetičre du Montparnasse in Paris.

Sylvia Lopez is interred in the Cimetičre du Montparnasse in Paris. In the early 1960s, She starred in an episode of The Twilight Zone, The Ring-a-Ding Girl. Diagnosed with leukemia, Lopez died while working on the set of Voulez-vous danser avec moi?, a French film with Brigitte Bardot. At the time of her death from an overdose of sleeping pills, she was supporting herself as a typist. As Sylvia Lopez, she made her first of two French-language films following which she appeared in several Italian swashbucklers with American stars such as Steve Reeves and Lex Barker that were commercially successful and for which she received favorable reviews. McNamara's second film role was in Three Coins in the Fountain, but she only made two more films. In November of 1956 she became the second wife of the French composer Francis López. Born in New York City, she began her acting career on the stage. She starred in the national company of The Moon Is Blue for eighteen months, before debuting on Broadway in The King of Friday's Men. She went to Hollywood when Otto Preminger cast her in the lead of his film version of The Moon is Blue, and she garnered a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.
