She currently lives in England and Germany and hosts a weekly Rock and Roll program on BBC Radio 2. Jam Master Jay was shot and killed in a recording studio in Queens, New York on the 30th of October 2002. She played Leather Tuscadero in the TV show Happy Days. Note, however, that Jam Master Jay and other hip hop DJs had used rock records before this. Since then she has continued to tour but has also spent time in acting, musicals and radio work. Run DMC crossed over into the pop market with their 1986 album Raising Hell which featured a collaboration with Aerosmith on a remake of that band's "Walk This Way". She achieved several number one popular Heavy Rock Music hits throughout that decade in various countries, including Can the Can in 1973 and Devil Gate Drive in 1974. Peter Piper (1986) was the first rap record in which the DJ (in this case Jam Master Jay) cut up a record (in this case, "Mardi Gras" by Bob James).

She began her career in the States with The Pleasure Seekers and Cradle, then moved to England in 1971. "Sucker MC's" (1983) was the first hip hop track that relied on electronic beats and nothing else. Susan Kay "Suzi" Quatro (born June 3, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan) is a bassist and singer.
