Susannah's son, Orlando Wells, stars in the Channel 4 teen drama, As If. Mark Greene on the long running TV series ER. In the 1970s she wrote two children's fantasy novels, In Search of Unicorns (1973), revised (1984) and Lark's Castle (1976), revised (1986). However, his best known role to date is as Dr. Her writing career is less well-known. It was his role as 'Goose' alongside Tom Cruise in the film Top Gun that brought his first widespread public acknowledgement and a terminally ill patient in Hawks alongside with Timothy Dalton. She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969). His first starring role was in the 1984 film, Revenge of the Nerds.

In 1960 she made her first movie, Tunes of Glory, costarring with Alec Guinness and John Mills. He studied acting at University of Southern California, but dropped out to begin actually taking roles and working. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Edwards was the youngest of 5 children, and was encouraged by his parents to follow his interest in acting. Susannah York (born January 9, 1941) is a British actress. He has been married to Jeanine Lobell since 1994, and they have had four children. He reportedly earned $35,000,000 for three of his eight seasons on ER.
