Soleil Moon Frye

In 2001, she debuted on the Disney Channel show The Proud Family as a voice talent. Her body was returned to the United States for interrment in the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood, California. The show starred Melissa Joan Hart --who, in another of those whacky Tinseltown coincidences, had auditioned for the part of Punky Brewster years before. Following an automobile accident, in which she suffered severe injuries, she became addicted to painkillers that ended with her taking her own life through an overdose of sleeping pills in 1999. She appeared in Sabrina the Teenage Witch as the coarse but sweet Roxy for several years. Beyond these activities, her favorite pastime was flying, having obtained her pilot's license and purchasing a 1936 German WWII Bi-plane. Soleil married Jason Goldberg, a television producer and actor, in October 25, 1998. Multi-talented, she also wrote the book Move Over Tarzan that was a woman's guide on how to compete successfully in a business world dominated by men.

Soleil has the honor of being one of the youngest directors in Hollywood history, directing Wild Horses while still in her teens. Despite her busy career, she became an accomplished sculptress and painter, her works on display at a number of one-woman shows in Los Angeles. Oddly enough, she once auditioned for the show Charmed, a drama about a trio of witch sisters, which formerly featured another actress noted for tantrums and ego, Shannen Doherty. Her widely publicized image led to acting jobs and, under the name Lois Hamilton or Lois Areno, she appeared in several Hollywood films as well as on television shows including many popular series such as the "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Three's Company.". In particular, on the set of the film "The Saint Tammany Miracle", Frye purportedly showed up late on multiple occasions, got into arguments with other actors, and at one point came in to work with a hangover. Although she earned degrees in Psychology and Fine Arts, and wanted to pursue her interest in the arts, her looks brought an opportunity with the Ford Modeling Agency where she became one of its top models during the 1970s. She began to acquire a reputation for being very difficult to work with. During her late teens and early adult years, Frye made appearances in several low-budget and independent films. A descendant of Italian nobility, she was born Lois I.
