Shannen Doherty

Shannen posed for a nine page pictorial in the December 2003 issue of Playboy magazine. She died from a cerebral haemorrhage in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Her private life has also been turbulent, with a six month marriage to Ashley Hamilton, son of George Hamilton. Her marriage to playwright Elmer Rice ended in divorce. She is now a regular on the series North Shore, a return to her prime-time soap roots. Her final film role was in Coogan's Bluff in 1968. She hosted Scare Tactics on the Sci Fi channel until the 2004 season. She preferred performing on Broadway but returned to Hollywood regularly, appearing in The Great Gatsby (1949), Picnic (1955), Bus Stop (1956), Peyton Place (1957), Butterfield 8 (1960 and The Birdman of Alcatraz (1962).

She left that series in 2001, after three years, claiming that her best work was being wasted on a show "for 12-year olds" (though rumors persist that her departure was against her will, due to a feud with costar Alyssa Milano). Her role as Mae in Of Mice and Men (1939) established her as a dramatic actress, and she played supporting roles in films such as Kings Row (1942). Although her departure from the series was reportedly acrimonious, it didn't stop Spelling from casting her in another series, Charmed. She returned to the United States and appeared in several stage successes, before making her film debut in 1939. She starred on the Aaron Spelling-produced Beverly Hills 90210 for four years, from 1990 to 1994. Field was born in Boston, Massachusetts and began her acting career on the London stage in She Loves Me. She was then cast as the oldest Witherspoon sibling, Kris, on the family drama Our House, which ran from 1986 to 1988. Betty Field (February 8, 1913 - September 13, 1973) was a American actress.

She first came to notice when she was cast as Jenny Wilder in Little House on the Prairie, which she followed up with roles in films such as Heathers.
