Potts is currently a visiting professor of Drama at the school. She has appeared in several feature films, starting with Ernest Goes to School (1994), but has yet to take a leading role. She has been instrumental in fundraising efforts for the college for many years. She has featured in Scrubs since the show began in 2001.
