Ray Price

Ray Price (born January 12, 1926) is an American country and western singer.

Price was born Noble Ray Price near Perryville, Texas. Some of his more famous songs include "Crazy Arms," "Heartaches By the Numbers," "City Lights," and "Danny Boy." He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996.



Ray Price (born 1976) is also a Zimbabwean cricketer. He bowls left-arm orthodox spin. He is related to the renowned Zimbabwean golfer Nick Price.

Most successfully with Race to the End, a vocal adaptation of the musical theme from the Oscar winning film Chariots of Fire. He would continue to record with Vangelis over the years.

He also made several appearances on solo albums by Aphrodite's Child bandmate Vangelis. After returning to Greece Demis was in a series of musical groups (The Idols, We Five, Aphrodite's Child) before beginning his solo career. His parents lost everything and returned to Greece after the Suez Crisis. He was born in Egypt, to expatriate Greeks.
