Prunella Scales

The band released only one album, Dressing Up the Idiot. She also starred in the sitcom Ink with her husband Ted Danson. Prunella Scales was the side project of Skid Row bass player Rachel Bolan in 1996. In both films she played the love interest of a time traveller. She and Timothy West are both ambassadors for SOS Children's Charity [1] (http://www.sos-uk.org.uk/our-friends.htm). She has been known for many roles, including that of Clara Clayton in Back to the Future Part III (1990) (a role which her children, fans of the Back to the Future movies, convinced her to play.) She also had a role in the 1979 film Time After Time. In 2003 she appeared as Hilda, alias "she who must be obeyed", wife of Horace Rumpole in a series of four BBC Radio 4 plays, with her husband playing her fictional husband. Steenburgen was married to Malcolm McDowell for ten years, but is currently married to actor Ted Danson.

She is married to the British actor Timothy West, and their son is the actor Samuel West. Steenburgen was born in Newport, Arkansas and moved to New York City in 1972 to study acting. More recently she has been seen in a series of Tesco supermarket commercials as a domineering mother with Jane Horrocks as her long-suffering daughter.
