Her twin sister is actress Marisa Pavan. Bergman was honored posthumously with an Emmy Award for Best Actress in 1982 for the television mini-series A Woman Called Golda, about Israeli prime minister Golda Meir. She had one son in each union. She died of cancer on her birthday in 1982. Pier Angeli (born Anna Maria Pierangeli) (June 19, 1932 - September 10, 1971) was an Italian-born actress who made her star debut in "Domani é troppo tardi" (1949).
