Philip Carey (born July 15, 1925) is an American actor.

Carey has made appearances in the hit movie, Monster (1979), and the television series Little House on the Prairie. He is perhaps known for his role as the protective patriarch, Asa Buchanan on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he has been portraying since 1979.

He held as a Prisoner of War by the Viet Cong in the Republic of Vietnam from 31 December 1964 until his death. Philip Carey (born July 15, 1925) is an American actor. Cook was born in Brooklyn, New York. Donald Gilbert Cook (9 August 1934 - 8 December 1967) was a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps and a Medal of Honor recipient.
