After his follow-up, I'm in You, was released, Frampton was involved in a serious car crash in the Bahamas. Upon his recovery, Frampton played a part in the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band film, which failed spectacularly. In the 1980s, Frampton returned to recording, though he has never been able to top the charts since.
