She is married to actor Mark Harmon. At the British Comedy Awards 2004, Caroline Quentin won the "Best Comedy Actress" award for her performance in Von Trapped. She was also featured as Mabel, in a Los Angeles Civic Light Opera production (based on the Joseph Papp/New York Shakespeare Festival production) of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance. With her new partner, Caroline had a daughter, Emily, in 1999, and a son, William, in 2003. She also parodied her role on classic sitcoms with John Ritter in the 1992 movie Stay Tuned. She married fellow BBC comedian Paul Merton in 1990, but they separated in 1997 and were subsequently divorced. Her character was very popular as she was the comedic foil and eventual love interest for Robin Williams' character, Mork from the planet Ork. She is most known for her role as Mindy McConnell on the television series Mork & Mindy, which ran on ABC from 1978 to 1982. She also appeared in the telemovie Hot Money, based on the true story of the theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds from the Bank of England.
