Nicole DeBoer

She currently stars as Sarah Bannerman in the television series The Dead Zone. At the British Comedy Awards 2004, Caroline Quentin won the "Best Comedy Actress" award for her performance in Von Trapped. She also starred in the Canadian-made science fiction series Deepwater Black (aka Mission Genesis, and in episodes of the Canadian produced SF series The Outer Limits). With her new partner, Caroline had a daughter, Emily, in 1999, and a son, William, in 2003. DeBoer's most noted role is that of Ezri Dax on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (seventh season, 1999), though she has also featured in the Kids in the Hall movie, Brain Candy (1996), and the critically-received science fiction film, Cube (1997). She married fellow BBC comedian Paul Merton in 1990, but they separated in 1997 and were subsequently divorced. She is married to John Kastner. She went on to show her talent for straight acting in Life Begins.

She also appeared in the telemovie Hot Money, based on the true story of the theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds from the Bank of England. Cube (1997). She has appeared in such series as Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Room 101, and Have I Got News For You. She was in the chorus of the original cast of Les Misérables.

Her early work included appearing on the stage. She became known for appearances in Men Behaving Badly, playing Dorothy, and Jonathan Creek, playing Maddy Magellan. Caroline Quentin (born June 11, 1961, in Reigate) is a British actress.
