Michael Shanks

This is the second child for Shanks, his first, Tatiana, with model Vaitiare Bandera, was born in 1998. She is probably now best known as her current portral of Catherine Willows in the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. On 2 August 2003, Shanks married fellow actor Lexa Doig, and on 13 September 2004, they welcomed a daughter, Mia Tabitha. She later won critical acclaim for her portrayal of Patsy Ramsey. He recently starred in the German Science Fiction Movie Sumuru as the astronaut Adam Wade. Helgenberger won an Emmy for the role (Supporting Actress). He made several guest appearances throughout the sixth season and returned for the seventh and eight seasons. Her first famous television role was on the period drama China Beach.

Shanks played Daniel Jackson throughout the first five seasons of the series before leaving the show. They married in 1989 and have one son, Hughie, named after Marg's father, Hugh Helgenberger. He also played in the tv movie A Family Divided and Call of the Wild before accepting his role in Stargate SG-1. The two became friends and started dating in 1986. He made guest appearances on tv series like The Highlander, University Hospital, and The Outer Limits. In 1984, Helgenberger met Alan Rosenberg, a guest actor on Ryan's Hope. in Fine Arts in 1994 Shanks played in several stage productions. Helgenberger debuted on the series in March 1982 playing Siobhan Ryan Novak, until 1986. Although she was actually the third actress to play the role, she is the one most identified with the part.
