Michael Chiklis

Although The Shield has been controversial because of its violent content, Chiklis's acting has been highly praised and he has won several awards for portraying Detective Vic Mackey. Crowe has gained notoriety for his off-screen antics, particularly allegations of rowdiness and belligerence, as parodied in an episode of South Park. Chiklis began his career on the stage and portrayed tragic comic John Belushi in the controverisal 1989 film Wired. On December 21, 2003, son Charles Spencer Crowe was born. He is best known for starring in two popular, but highly different, television series: The Commish (1991-1995) and The Shield (2002-). On April 7, 2003 (his 39th birthday), Crowe married singer and actress Danielle Spencer. Michael Chiklis is an American stage and television actor. After initial success in Australia, he became a Hollywood actor in the mid-1990s; he won the Academy Award as Best Actor in 2001 for Gladiator, and was also nominated for the award for The Insider and A Beautiful Mind.

He then moved on to another school where he dropped out. He attended the Sydney Boys High School and then moved back to New Zealand to attend the Auckland Grammar School.
