Mark Dinning

Although Dinning never duplicated the success of "Teen Angel," he had three minor hit records in the ensuing few years and continued to perform in the music industry until his unexpected passing at the age of fifty-two from a heart attack in Jefferson City, Missouri. In October 2004 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but is expected to make a full recovery. The sad lyrics told of the death of a teenage love that radio stations in the United Kingdom deemed too morbid to be aired but went to No.1 on the Billboard Charts in the United States. Though limited in acting experience it has been announced that a sitcom is in production to star Etheridge as a lesbian living with her heterosexual male best friend (together raising a third person's child.) Critics have predicted that it will be "like Will & Grace except cancelled.". His recording efforts met with limited success until 1960 when he recorded a 45rpm single called "Teen Angel" that was written by his sister Jean & her husband Red Surrey. After splitting from Cypher she went on in 2003 to marry actress Tammy Lynn Michaels. Dinning pursued a career in country music and in 1957, Wesley Rose got him a record contract. She had a long-term partnership with Julie Cypher, which whom she had two children via a sperm donor, David Crosby.

From a musical family, three of his sisters formed the Dinning Sisters singing group that had a "Top Ten" hit in the late 1940s. Etheridge is also famous as a gay rights activist, having publicly come out as a lesbian during President Bill Clinton's first inauguration in January 1993. Dinning was born near Drury, Oklahoma but grew up on a farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee. She has won the Grammy award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance twice in her career, for the song "Ain't It Heavy" in 1992 and "Come to My Window", in 1994. Mark Dinning ( August 17, 1933 - March 22, 1986 ) was an American singer. Two others went platinum and another gold. Three of them have gone multi-platinum: Melissa Etheridge (1988), Yes I Am (1993) and Your Little Secret (1996).

Etheridge has produced eight albums since signing her first major recording contract in 1987. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas.
