Margaret Ruth Kidder (born October 17, 1948), better known as Margot Kidder, is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the 1978 movie Superman and sequels.

She is also known for having bipolar disorder which led to a widely publicised breakdown in 1996. She is now an advocate of orthomolecular medicine as a treatment for bipolar disorder.
