Marg Helgenberger

She is probably now best known as her current portral of Catherine Willows in the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The Station Agent, Me Without You), but none have been great commercial successes. She later won critical acclaim for her portrayal of Patsy Ramsey. She has been in a half-dozen subsequent films, some of them well-reviewed (e.g. Helgenberger won an Emmy for the role (Supporting Actress). They married in 1989 and have one son, Hughie, named after Marg's father, Hugh Helgenberger. Her first starring role in films was as Arlene in Dick (1999), a satire on Richard M. The two became friends and started dating in 1986. The show would run for six seasons, from 1998 to 2003. In 1984, Helgenberger met Alan Rosenberg, a guest actor on Ryan's Hope. A scout for the soap opera Ryan's Hope discovered Helgenberger when she performed as Kate in a Northwestern University production of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, in the summer of 1981. She won several small roles before she was cast as Jen Lindley on Dawson's Creek, the part that would make her a star. Helgenberger was born in Fremont, Nebraska to Hugh and Kay Helgenberger. She graduated from high school at fifteen and was emancipated from her parents so she could pursue an acting career.
