Lynn Redgrave

Redgrave was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, although she later became an American citizen. The organisation was a response to losing her brother Jamie, who died at age nine from aplastic anemia. She has written a play, The Mandrake Root, in which she will star if her cancer treatments allow. In 1983, Samms and her cousin, film producer Peter Samuelson, co-founded the Starlight Children's Foundation, an organisation that attempts to fulfil the wishes of seriously ill children. Recently, Redgrave announced that she has breast cancer. She also played in Dynasty, The Colbys and Dynasty: The Reunion. The assistant eventually married, then divorced, Redgrave and Clark's son Benjamin. Emma Samms is an Actress that played Holly Sutton on General Hospital from 1982 to 1985 and from 1992 to 1993.

In 2000, Redgrave divorced her husband of 33 years, producer John Clark, when it was revealed that he had fathered a child with his assistant. In 1998 she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Gods and Monsters. From 1979 to 1981, she starred in the American television series House Calls. Other films include The Happy Hooker, Every Little Crook and Nanny, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask), The Big Bus, Sunday Lovers and Morgan Stewart's Coming Home.

She has twice been nominated for Tony Awards. She has worked on television, the London stage, and Broadway. In 1966 she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for Georgy Girl. Lynn Redgrave's first film role was in a small part in Tom Jones in 1963.

She is the aunt of Natasha Richardson, Joely Richardson and Jemma Redgrave. Her parents are Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, her brother is Corin Redgrave and her sister is Vanessa Redgrave. Born Lynn Rachel Redgrave in London, she is a member of the famous acting Redgrave family. Lynn Redgrave (born March 8, 1943) is a British actress.
