Lou Bega

David Lubega (aka Lou Bega) (April 13, 1975) is a German Latin pop musician famous for his song "Mambo No. 5", a remake of the Perez Prado instrumental from 1952 with new lyrics added by Bega, and sampling the original version extensively.

The song became an instant worldwide hit, charting in top 5 across Europe and in the USA, where it became a popular stadium anthem at sports events.

In 1999 he released the album A Little Bit Of Mambo which included 'Mambo' and the hits 'I Got a Girl' and 'Tricky'. He followed this up in 2001 with Ladies And Gentlemen.

He recorded the song 'Baby Keep Smiling' with Compay Segundo.

http://www.loubega.de. Following an album and tour with Debbie Bonham, the younger sister of John Bonham, Bonham was invited to drum for hard rock group UFO. He recorded the song 'Baby Keep Smiling' with Compay Segundo. The album followed up with When You See the Sun. Bonham drummed for Healing Sixes in 2000 and appeared in the film Rock Star which starred Mark Wahlberg. He followed this up in 2001 with Ladies And Gentlemen. Proceeds from the album went to charity. In 1999 he released the album A Little Bit Of Mambo which included 'Mambo' and the hits 'I Got a Girl' and 'Tricky'. Bonham soon put together another solo project which culminated in the In The Name of the Father: The ZepSet which featured the songs of Led Zeppelin.

In May 1990, Bonham married Jan Charteris, in Stone, Kidderminster. After a lukewarm reception to his second solo album, Bonham concentrated on session work and guest appearances. The single "Wait for You" taken from the album, was a major success. His first solo album, The Disregard of Timekeeping appeared in 1989.

John Paul Jones believes Bonham's performance was outstanding that night. The following year, Bonham appeared with other members of Led Zeppelin for a "reunion" at Atlantic Records' 40th Anniversary concert in New York. In 1987, Bonham joined former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page for his Outrider album and tour. At 17, he joined his first band, Airrace.

He first began playing drums at the age of 4, and appeared with his father in the film The Song Remains the Same, drumming on a scaled-down kit. Bonham born was in the town of Dudley, Worcestershire.
