Her body was returned to the United States for interrment in the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood, California. Her best known roles are as the male half-Chinese dwarf Billy Kwan in the movie The Year of Living Dangerously (1982) (for which she won an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress) and as Judge Zoey Hiller on the television series The Practice.
