Leslie Caron (b. July 1, 1931) is a French film actress and dancer.

She was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. She was discovered by Gene Kelly, who chose her to appear opposite him in the classic musical An American in Paris.

She went on to star in Gigi with Maurice Chevalier and, Lili, plus other classic films set in France. She continues to act, appearing recently for example in the acclaimed film Chocolat. She is one of the few leading ladies (or actors of any type for that matter) from the classic era of MGM musicals who is still active in film.

In 1953, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her starring role in the film Lili.

The song only made it to #70 on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 list, but claimed the #1 spot on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. She is one of the few leading ladies (or actors of any type for that matter) from the classic era of MGM musicals who is still active in film. Daily also signed with A&M Records in 1985, and it was in 1986 that the label released the dance/pop hit single "Say It, Say It". She continues to act, appearing recently for example in the acclaimed film Chocolat. Born in Los Angeles, California, she first became well known for her roles in 1983's Valley Girl and 1986's Pee-wee's Big Adventure, but in recent times is probably best known for her voice role as Tommy Pickles from Rugrats and All Grown Up!. She also played the voice roles of Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls and Rudy Tabootie in ChalkZone.
