Laura San Giacomo

She is the cousin of Torry Castellano, a member of the rock group The Donnas. In 2004, Spelling married actor Charlie Shanian. San Giacomo has been married twice; to actor Cameron Dye (1990-1998), with whom she has a son, Mason (born 1996), and to actor Matt Adler (since 2000). After the series went off the air, Spelling worked mostly in various independent films (often receiving praise for her performances) including Trick and The House of Yes. She was the lead character in the sitcom Just Shoot Me (1997-2003) and did voice work for the animated series Gargoyles. She claimed to have undergone an audition for the role under an assumed name. She has appeared in the films Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), Pretty Woman (1990), Quigley Down Under (1990), and Nina Takes a Lover (1994), among others. With what was often described as a highly limited acting range, it was widely speculated that she got the job through her father's influence.

San Giacomo was born in New Jersey and attended the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. The daughter of Aaron Spelling, a hugely successful television producer mainly for the ABC network, she appeared in a number of small roles before landing a regular part in 90210, a series co-produced by her father and Darren Star.
