Katrin Cartlidge (May 15, 1961 - September 7, 2002) was a British actress. She was already becoming well known for her film work which included work with leading film directors such as Mike Leigh and Lars von Trier.

She was already becoming well known for her film work which included work with leading film directors such as Mike Leigh and Lars von Trier. Bebe Daniels died of a stroke in London. Katrin Cartlidge (May 15, 1961 - September 7, 2002) was a British actress. The pair starred in the radio sitcom "Life With The Lyons" (1951 to 1961), which later made the transition to television. Most notably, they starred in the series "Hi Gang" which continued for decades, enjoying considerable popularity during World War II. The couple did radio shows for the BBC.

With her husband Ben Lyon she moved to London in 1936. She retired from Hollywood in 1935. Her later notable Hollywood films included "42nd Street". Paramont dropped her contract with the advent of talking pictures, but Daniels made a hit in the 1929 soundie "Rio Rita", in which she sang as well.

In the 1920s she was under contract with Paramount Pictures. She appeared in a number of comedies opposite Harold Lloyd. Her early roles varied from stapstick comedy to "bathing beauty" appearances. She was hired by Hal Roach studio in 1915.

For a time she went by the name Virginia Daniels. Daniels first appeared on film at the age of 8. The family moved to Los Angeles, California in her childhood. Her father was a theater manager and her mother a stage actress.

She was born as Phylis Daniels in Dallas, Texas. She started out in Hollywood in the silent movie era, and later starred on radio and television in England. Bebe Daniels (14 January 1901 - 15 March 1971) was a United States actress.
