In February 2005, a nude portrait of Kate Moss by Lucian Freud was sold for £3.93 million. She speaks Italian, French and English fluently, and has acted in all these languages, as well as Aramaic in The Passion of the Christ. In early 2005 Moss began dating former Libertines' frontman Pete Doherty, who hit the headlines due to his crack cocaine and heroin abuse. In her newest film, the Mel Gibson-directed movie The Passion of the Christ, she stars as Mary Magdalene. Moss recently sought help for a 'sleeping disorder' at a top London Clinic, after being exhausted with a busy year in modelling, raising her daughter and facing relationship problems with Jefferson Hack. She had earlier dated actor Johnny Depp for over three years. In that year, Monica made the transition to acting — a very popular trend that models Laetitia Casta, Jaime King and Estella Warren have also successfully followed — and began taking acting classes.
