Julian McMahon

His latest role will be in the Summer 2005 of the upcoming adaptation of the comics Fantastic Four, where he'll play Doctor Doom. He made only two more films before retiring permanently. He has his very own series Nip/Tuck (2003). Following his admission before the House Un-American Activities Committee, Columbia Pictures dropped him. His most notable performance was in the Profiler TV-series as Detective in FBI, John Grant. Following his Oscar nomination, he made a few more movies that did little in the box office, until he appeared in the sequel, Jolson Sings Again in 1949, which was another hit. He also appeared on the hit series Charmed for three seasons as half-demon Cole Turner. He made several forgettable films untl he won the role of Al Jolson in the 1946 biographical film The Jolson Story, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.

He has been a model and an actor starring in many roles, his first American role being on Another World, playing Ian Rain from 1993 to 1995. Having attended the University of Illinois, Parks played in stock companies for several years before signing a Hollywood contract in 1941. At an early age, he starred in Home and Away. Born Samuel Lawrence Klausman Parks in Olathe, Kansas, his career was virtually ended when he admitted in 1951 to having been a member of a Communist party cell. He has been married and divorced two times, briefly to Australian singer Dannii Minogue and to American actress Brooke Burns with whom he has a daughter named Madison. Larry Parks (December 13, 1914 - April 13, 1975) was an American actor. McMahon was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Julian Dana William McMahon (born July 27, 1968) is one of the three children to Australia's former Prime Minister Sir William McMahon who was in power from 1971 to 1972.
