Johnny Depp

Johnny is rumored to receive his second Academy Award nomination for his work in Finding Neverland. In 2000 he co-starred in the movie Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Depp is the father of two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, with his longtime companion, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis. He has also directed movies Wanda Nevada and Idaho Transfer. Johnny also directed and starred in The Brave demonstrating his sympathy for the plight of Native Americans. He has appeared in such movies as Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974), Race With The Devil and 92 In the Shade (both 1975) The Cannonball Run (1981),Najda (1997), and Ulee's Gold (1997), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Fonda's career has not been particularly fruitful in the ensuing years.

He is also noted for his regular appearances in the films of director Tim Burton. He co-wrote the film with Dennis Hopper and Terry Southern, and the trio was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay Based on Material Not Previously Published or Produced. He appeared in the TV police drama 21 Jump Street, and in a number of movies where he distinguished himself as a quirky lead actor. He is able to play a wide variety of roles, from comedy (Pirates of the Caribbean) to serious drama (Donnie Brasco), to action (Once Upon A Time In Mexico), and atmospheric thrillers (From Hell). It was in 1969 that Fonda made the cult movie for which he is still known, Easy Rider.
