John Saxon (actor)

Saxon has also appeared in many Italian films, mainly in the "Spaghetti Western" and police thriller genres. His most popular television role is arguably his portrayal of "Al" in the American TV series Quantum Leap, which aired between 1989 and 1993. He appeared mostly in supporting roles, but was top-billed in his most famous film Enter the Dragon (1973), which actually starred Bruce Lee. Stockwell has acted in both film and television. In his early career, Saxon worked with many notable directors including Vincente Minnelli, Blake Edwards, John Huston, Frank Borzage, and Otto Preminger, but despite this, never developed into a major star. Unlike many child actors, he continued to act past his teenage years. He studied acting with famous acting coach Stella Adler and broke into films in the mid-50s, playing teenage roles. Born in North Hollywood, California, Stockwell began his acting career at age 7.

He was born Carmine Orrico the son of Antonio and Anna Orrico, in Brooklyn, New York. Dean Stockwell (born 5 March 1936) is an American actor. John Saxon (born August 5, 1935) is an Italian-American actor.
