Joe Pesci

His close friend George Carlin mentions Joe in his bit "There is No God". He won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar and the SAG Award for his work in Mystic River (2003). Some of his other notable films include Goodfellas (for which he received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor), Casino, Home Alone, and My Cousin Vinny. In 2003 a 15th-anniversary celebration of Bull Durham at the National Baseball Hall of Fame was cancelled due to controversy over his and Sarandon's public anti-war stance. As an actor his breakthrough came in 1980 opposite Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese's boxing film Raging Bull. Robbins lives in New York City with Sarandon and their three children. He is a prominent spokesperson for anti-globalization, and vocally opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Joe Pesci was born in Newark, New Jersey and worked as a singer in the 1960s, releasing an album entitled "Little Joe Sure Can Sing" under the name Joe Ritchie.
