James Brolin

James Brolin (born James Bruderlin) (born July 18, 1940) is an American actor and director. He was married to actress Jan Smithers from 1987 through 1995, and then married actress Barbra Streisand in 1998.

He is most famous for his roles on television series such as Marcus Welby, M.D., Hotel, and Pensacola: Wings of Gold.

Later, he took a drama course and spent two years in stock companies before serving in World War II. Born Ira Grossel in Brooklyn, New York Chandler attended Erasmus Hall High School, the nucleus of many stage and film personalities.
