Jaclyn Smith

Smith reprised her Kelly Garrett role in a short cameo in the 2003 Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle feature film. The singer, Helen Terry, is one of her descendants. Smith has two children, Spencer Margaret and Gaston, from her marriage to Richmond. Her nephew, Sir John Gielgud, also became an actor. Smith has been married four times; to actors Roger Davis (1972-1975) and Dennis Cole (1978-1981), to filmmaker Tony Richmond (1981-1989), and to surgeon Brad Allen (since 1997). She became a Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) in 1925. Since 1985, Smith has designed and promoted a clothing line for Kmart. In 1907 she married American actor James Carew.

Smith currently has a reoccurring role in the television series The District. She struck up a friendship and a famous correspondence with George Bernard Shaw. In 1989, Smith had the title role in Christine Cromwell, a mystery television series which only lasted one season. In 1903 she formed a theatre management business with her son, abandoning Irving. Smith has also appeared in over two dozen television movies and miniseries. In 1876 she married Charles Kelly. Smith was the only female lead to remain with the series for its complete run. From 1874 she became the leading Shakespearean actress in London, and in partnership with Henry Irving became successful in England and the USA.

Smith is best known for the role of Kelly Garrett in the television series Charlie's Angels (1976-1981), a light-hearted action series about three beautiful women who worked as private investigators. However, the birth of her son, Gordon Craig, in 1872, was the result of a liaison with Edward Godwin, who later deserted her, having enforced her temporary retirement from acting. She attended Trinity University and the University of San Antonio before deciding on an acting career. On 20 February 1864, shortly before her 17th birthday, she married the painter George Frederic Watts. Jaclyn Ellen Smith was born in Houston, Texas. She first appeared on stage as a child. Jaclyn Smith (born October 26, 1947) is an American television actress. Born in Coventry, she came of a theatrical family, her brother Fred Terry and several of her other siblings being actors.
