She is a member of the Rajya Sabha from the BJP. She appeared in the movie version of Amy Tan's book The Joy Luck Club, and provided the voice for both the title character in Disney's animated movie Mulan and the character Aki Ross in the computer animated film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Born Ming-Na Wen (溫明娜) on Coloane, Macau (then under Portuguese administration), she moved to the United States as a girl. Ming-Na (born November 20, 1963) is a Chinese-American actress.
