Helen Hunt

Helen Elizabeth Hunt (born 15 June 1963) is an American actress. She was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of an acting coach.

Hunt co-starred with Paul Reiser in the television sitcom Mad About You, winning Emmy Awards for her performance in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999.

Hunt has also had a successful film career and has been in Hollywood movies such as Cast Away and As Good As It Gets (with Jack Nicholson), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1998.

In 1998, Hunt became the first actress to win both an Emmy and an Oscar in the same year.

Hunt was married to actor Hank Azaria on July 18, 1999. The couple divorced on December 18, 2000.

She has a daughter with Matthew Carnahan.
