She is also more famous for being the wife of James Van Der Beek whom she married on 5 July 2003. She has been married twice, first to James Vickery from 1969 until his death in 1979, then to Robert Dozier in 1981. In 1998 she joined the cast of Party of Five as Maggie. A graduate of Sweet Briar College, Muldaur was at one point a board member of the Screen Actors Guild and later the president of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She was the first actress to portray the character of Jubilee on screen in the 1996 TV film Generation X. She was also a guest star in two episodes of the original Star Trek; only about 30 actors have appeared in two generations of the franchise.
